We at TAQA Water Solutions were incredibly proud to participate alongside TAQA Group at the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) in Dubai. This premier event, showcasing global advancements in sustainability, was a valuable platform for us to underscore our unwavering commitment to innovation, environmental stewardship, and securing a water-resilient future.
Over the three days, our dedicated team engaged actively from TAQA Group’s prominent stand, hosting a series of dynamic panel discussions that delved into critical industry topics such as water security, technological advancements, and sustainable practices. These sessions fostered invaluable dialogue and knowledge exchange among industry leaders and experts.
Spotlighting our success and participation, we also saw significant media engagement. Our CEO, Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi, alongside our Business Resilience Director, Eng. Mohamed Al Jneibi, provided insightful interviews to top-tier media outlets including CNBC Arabia, Al Bayan, and others. The interviews articulated TAQA Water Solutions’ strategic vision, underscoring our determined pursuit to deliver sustainable, secure, and affordable solutions for a greener future.
In an interview with WAM, Eng. Al Shamsi highlighted Abu Dhabi's ambitious targets for sustainable water usage, stating: "Abu Dhabi is moving towards reusing 100% of treated water by the end of 2026, a pioneering step that strengthens the UAE’s position in water resource management and sustainability."
Further emphasising progress in this critical area, Eng. Mohamed Al Jneibi told Al Bayan: "TAQA Water Solutions has achieved remarkable progress in sustainability by reusing approximately 80% of its treated water, a percentage that exceeds the rates recorded in many other countries."
As part of the WETEX sessions, Eng. Ahmad Abu Yousef delivered an insightful presentation titled “Towards Net Zero in Wastewater Collection and Treatment in Abu Dhabi,” highlighting our innovative approach to achieving carbon neutrality in the water sector. Additionally, Dr. Titia contributed as a moderator during the “Delivering Water and Energy Access for a Net-Zero Future” session, facilitating engaging discussions among key stakeholders on advancing sustainability goals.
We also facilitated strategic networking opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships and forging new collaborations that are vital for TAQA Water Solutions’ continued growth and impact. A key theme we emphasised across our engagements was the paramount importance of business continuity and resilience in the face of evolving environmental and economic challenges.
TAQA Water Solutions’ presence at WETEX 2025 was more than just an exhibition, it was a powerful statement of our leadership in the water sector and our dedication to shaping a more sustainable world.
We extend a sincere appreciation to everyone involved in making our participation a resounding success from the planning and execution teams to our leadership and all colleagues who contributed to showcasing TAQA Water Solutions' expertise and vision.
